Meeting Mahina

by Asailof2hearts

While we were in Neah Bay, we saw several different sailboats come and go. One in particular was fun for us. This boat came cruising around us to say hello. It was a training session by Mahina Expeditions (John and Amanda Neal). John and Amanda conduct training for those interested in offshore cruising. We attended a weekend seminar with them in the winter of 2018 in Anacortes, WA. We’ve also attended seminars with them at the Seattle Boat Show. When they came by to say hello, they didn’t know we were former students, but were really excited for us to be “really doing it”!

I have read your June 2021 post in Latitude 38. Got confused with your mention of “Cassie” which does not seem to have anything to do with your voyage. Please explain.

“Cassie” is our short/nickname for our boat, Cassiopeia.
