You can read Cassiopeia’s history here. We purchased Cassie in August 2016 in Sint Maarten, an island in the Caribbean. We left her moored there until April 2017 when we flew back down to bring her to her new home. You can read about that adventure here (coming). In hindsight, we likely saved her from an awful fate, because Hurricanes Irma and Maria probably would have destroyed her when they swept through Sint Maarten and the other islands in August-September of 2017.
It was very emotional for Mary and I to be here in the PNW with Cassie and see the damage to all the places we visited on our trip through the Caribbean. We made friends along the way. They were all impacted.
Then there were all the people we met, in stores, bars, on the beaches. The folks on Salt Cay at The Right Spot. We can’t imagine what they all went through. And we wonder how they fared.
